It's All About God

This powerful message centers on a profound yet simple truth from Ecclesiastes 12:13-14: our entire existence boils down to fearing God and keeping His commandments. We're challenged to examine whether we've fallen into the trap of making life about ourselves when it should be entirely about God. The sermon walks us through four critical areas of life—family, baptism, the local church, and Christian living—showing how each one must be anchored in God's authority and purpose. In Psalm 127, we're reminded that unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain, a sobering warning for families trying to succeed without God's principles. When we look at baptism through Colossians 2:12, we see it's not merely a human act but participation in the working of God who raised Christ from the dead. The early church in Acts 2:42-47 gives us a beautiful picture of what happens when believers continue steadfastly in apostolic doctrine, resulting in daily growth and genuine community. Finally, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 reminds us five times in eight verses that our Christian walk is about pleasing God, not ourselves. This message calls us to realign our priorities, asking the penetrating question: What is our life really about? If it's not about God, then changes need to be made.
