What Christ Brings
This powerful message calls us to remember the transformative journey from spiritual darkness to light through Christ. Drawing from Ephesians 2:11-18, we are reminded of our former state: without Christ, alienated from God, strangers to His promises, without hope, and living as enemies of God. The text paints a sobering picture of life before salvation, when we were captive to sin with no strength to free ourselves. Yet the beauty of the gospel shines through in what Christ brings to us. He brings us near to God through His blood, breaking down every barrier that once separated us. He brings peace by creating unity among all believers, dissolving the walls between Jew and Gentile, slave and free, male and female. He brings reconciliation, not because God moved away from us, but because we wandered and He provided the way back through the cross. Most remarkably, He brings us access to the Father, transforming our relationship from enemies to beloved children who can call God 'Abba, Father.' This message challenges us to actively remember where we were and cultivate deep gratitude for where we are now. When we forget these truths, we risk becoming lukewarm and losing sight of the incredible gift we have received. The call is clear: let these realities touch our hearts afresh and keep us faithful in our Christian walk.
