The Message Obeyed

At the heart of this powerful message lies a profound truth we often overlook: the gospel isn't merely something to believe intellectually, but a pattern of teaching we must obey from our hearts. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 15 and Romans 6, we're reminded of three foundational facts that define our faith—Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried, and He rose again on the third day. But here's where it gets personal: these aren't just historical events to commemorate on Easter Sunday. They represent a transformative pattern we must actively participate in through baptism. When we're immersed into Christ's death, buried with Him, and raised to walk in newness of life, we're not just performing a ritual—we're experiencing resurrection power that changes everything. The challenge presented is direct and unflinching: many of us attend church regularly but haven't truly died to our old selves. We struggle with the same issues, fall into the same patterns, and wonder why we lack spiritual power. The answer is clear—we cannot experience resurrection without death. Just as Christ's death was real, painful, and sacrificial, our death to sin must be equally genuine. This isn't about perfection but transformation. When we obey this pattern of teaching from our hearts, we're set free from sin and become slaves to righteousness. That's when the devil loses his grip, when our families see real change, and when our lives finally glorify God in meaningful ways.
